    The Smithereens will kick off 2019 with a series of East Coast dates in January with guest vocalist Robin Wilson of the Gin Blossoms. Venues include the Sony Hall in New York City, as well as a band favorite, The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA.

  • Pat DiNizio honored in “Lest We Forget” documentary

    Jim Babjak and Dennis Diken of the Smithereens, along with Marshall Crenshaw on vocals and Graham Maby on bass, perform “Behind the Wall of Sleep” as tribute to the late Pat DiNizio, in a new documentary “Lest We Forget”. Produced and directed by Tom Emmi, this documentary honors those musical artists who passed away in 2017.

  • Smithereens: Keeping the music alive

    The Smithereens will continue playing live shows with different singers. “The music definitely has to live on,” said Jim Babjak in an interview with Chris Jordan. “A lot of our fans overwhelmingly want us to continue, and it’s not like we’re replacing Pat, we’re just moving on and keeping the music alive — because it’s our legacy, also.”

    Pat DiNizio will be included in the “In Memoriam” segment for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to be held in Cleveland on April 14. The event will taped for broadcast on HBO later this spring.
