Kindle Petition

A new technology, represented in Amazon's Kindle DX electronic reading device, promises to deliver literature wirelessly, economically, and conveniently. For many and complex reasons, the Kindle DX is not available to the Canadian market. Canadians should have the opportunity to express their interest in an existing technology that has the potential to impact literacy in individuals and in society.

We the undersigned ask you to sign our petition expressing your interest in the Kindle DX electronic reading device, and support efforts to bring the Kindle DX into the Canadian market.

As a writer who relies on research, being unable to use devices like the Kindle puts me behind the curve of my American counterparts. This affects my ability to compete for contracts and gives Americans an edge that shouldn't really exist.

I think its about time our Government woke up to the Technology around us...right next door! They had Tivo's in the USA for almost 5-6 years before we saw it? Whats up with that?
